# Request for Comments System

#### Creating a new proposal

* Users who hold Phemex Soul Pass and vePT and have a voter role on the exchange's Discord server can create a new proposal by posting in the designated Discord channel (#dao-proposal).
* It is recommended to follow predefined templates when creating a proposal, such as a general proposal or grant application template. These templates should include information such as the rationale for the proposal, any action items or asks for the exchange or its community, and any goals or success factors for the proposal.
* Users can also add tags to their proposal to indicate which working groups should be involved in assessing it.
* By default, a proposal will be automatically archived if it is inactive for a week.

#### Participation

* Users who hold Phemex Soul Pass and vePT and have a voter role on the exchange's Discord server can participate by commenting on proposals and providing feedback or ideas.
* Users can also signal their support or preferences for a proposal by participating in Discord polls that are included in the thread.
* Users can also apply for grants from the exchange by creating a grant application proposal that includes information such as the grantee's background, the total budget requested, the scope of the grant, and the project's goals and success factors.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://phemex.gitbook.io/phemex-web3-whitepaper/features/phemex-dao/proposal-and-voting/request-for-comments-system.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
